What is MTD ?

• MTD - Making tax digital.

• The Government are withdrawing the current method of VAT filing

• From April 2019. If you are VAT registered you or your bookkeeper or accountant will need to use accounts software to file your VAT

Making Tax digital Accounts software-What does it mean to you?

• Your accounts data must be held digitally

• Eg. on a computer, a hard drive, or on the cloud

• Every 3 months your VAT will need filed using MTD compatible accounts software

• Your end of year accounts will also need to be filed using MTD compatible accounts software in the future

• 30,931 - 150,000 = 41%

• Over 150,000 = 46%
